Substance Use

At BHARC, we are dedicated to reducing the impact of substance use disorders (SUDs) and tobacco use through innovative, evidence-based solutions. Our multidisciplinary team of public health experts—comprising physicians, pharmacists, nurses, public health specialists, and educators—partners with a diverse array of stakeholders to design and implement comprehensive strategies addressing substance use challenges.

From spearheading prevention and treatment initiatives to creating educational programs and tackling barriers to care for opioid use disorders (OUDs) and other SUDs, our expertise is grounded in data-driven and research-informed practices. Our achievements include:

  • Supporting businesses through initiatives like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to address the effects of substance use on the workforce.
  • Developing strategic communications with federal clients to disseminate best practices for SUD prevention and treatment.
  • Collaborating with community stakeholders to create policies that improve access to care and foster drug-free environments.

By leading these efforts, BHARC is building partnerships that save lives and strengthen communities.
